OVERVIEW:

Grounded in systems theory and strengths-based practice, this workshop explores how organizational culture, power dynamics, and “unwritten rules” shape patterns of communication and conflict in human service settings. Participants will examine their own leadership communication styles and CliftonStrengths results, applying these insights to real-world workplace tensions through case studies, role plays, and small-group discussions. The training will focus on developing practical, ethically grounded strategies for giving and receiving feedback, addressing conflict at both individual and systems levels, and building equity, transparency, and trust within teams. Through guided reflection and an individualized leadership development plan, participants will leave with concrete tools to strengthen their leadership presence and support healthier, more resilient organizational cultures in alignment with professional standards of practice.

OBJECTIVES:

By attending this training, you will be able to:

  • Analyze how organizational culture shapes patterns of conflict and communication.
  • Identify leadership communication strategies that foster equity, transparency, and trust.
  • Apply systems theory to understand and address recurring workplace tensions.
  • Develop practical tools for giving and receiving feedback within hierarchical structures.
  • Create an individualized plan to strengthen leadership presence in conflict resolution.
