This 1-hour CE training moves beyond affirming intentions to concrete, practical strategies for LGBTQ+ allyship and equity. The session highlights why active support matters and translates that evidence into actionable steps participants can take in their professional and community roles. Participants are introduced to everyday “support in action,” economic/business support tools, and legislative advocacy approaches, concluding with Q&A and resource-sharing to support ongoing implementation.
By attending this training, you will be able to:
1. Identify legal rights, protections, and barriers affecting access to equitable health care for LGBTQ+ individuals.
2. Discuss the role of clinicians and social service professionals in advocating for LGBTQ+ health equity at organizational and policy levels.
3. Develop practical strategies for translating inclusive values into advocacy and action within their respective disciplines.
