Jenny Buckley, RN, BSN, CHPN, author, blogger, and owner of Jenny Buckley Care Matters
Jenny Buckley is the founder of Jenny Buckley Care Matters, is a nurse with over 20 years of experience in community-based palliative care, a cancer survivor, and a family member of cancer survivors – Jenny understands the importance of quality patient care. Those experiences have repeatedly demonstrated that living with and through an illness – and all that it requires – isn’t always addressed in doctor’s visits and hospital stays.
She believes that healing comes in a variety of forms and, it matters how you are treated – not just with medicine, but how you, as a person, and your family, is treated. Jenny Buckley Care Matters was born out of the realization that she could make a difference in the way that individuals and families experience illness and medical treatment.
Jenny lives in Roswell, Georgia with her husband and two sons.

Overview
Communication and connection are imperative to enhancing the quality of life for our clients and supporting their families, friends, and care partners. Helping professionals can think of connection as a multiplier of great communication skills. This event will provide helping professionals with many different communication techniques to implement into their daily personal and professional lives. We will also discuss the importance of connection with not just our clients, but our colleagues as well. You don’t want to miss this jam packed, interactive, and fun event.
By Attending Our Workshop, You Will Be Able To:
- Identify at least two communication techniques to facilitate difficult conversations with patients/families and with colleagues
- Name at least two goals of communication
- Demonstrate how to improve connection among team members, clients, and families through participation of an activity
