Overview:

As the US aging population continues to grow, the home will become a healthcare hub for individuals wanting to age in place.  As helping professionals, we often assist our clients/patients and their loved ones with these aging in place resources, counseling and much more. Therefore, it is imperative that we keep abreast of available technology solutions that can assist with this process. The needs of this aging demographic and their caregivers will necessitate innovative solutions and programs aimed at maintaining one’s independence and sense of purpose. In this eye-opening presentation, learn from experts in the field about the future of technology solutions and programs focused on mobility, social engagement, and remote patient monitoring.  Participants will gain valuable information for their everyday practice and learn innovative approaches to training a future workforce through technologies and programs that engage and build empathy & compassion.

Objectives:

1. Summarize the needs of an aging demographic that will necessitate innovative solutions and programs aimed at maintaining one’s independence and sense of purpose.

2. Differentiate technology solutions & programs focused on mobility, social engagement & remote patient monitoring.
