The Georgia Composite Board’s current renewal period opened July 1, 2026, and licenses expire September 30, 2026. The late renewal period begins October 1, 2026, and runs through November 15, 2026, according to the Georgia Secretary of State’s Professional Licensing Boards Division.
If you received a renewal email from the Georgia Secretary of State, now is the time to create your CE Broker account to log your continuing education, and also log into the Georgia Online Application Licensing System, known as GOALS, and complete your renewal. The online process only takes a few minutes and includes updating your contact information, answering renewal questions, paying the renewal fee, verifying renewal, and printing your updated license.
What Changed?
There are two major changes:
- CE Broker: You must now submit your continuing competency documentation through CE Broker.
- GA GOALS: Renewals are now being completed through the GOALS portal, Georgia’s online licensing system. The Georgia Secretary of State’s office notes that GOALS is now used for professional licensing services, including renewal applications, account verification, contact updates, and license printing.
This means licensees should not wait until the last minute. You may need time to verify your account, confirm your login information, update your address or email, and resolve any portal issues before the renewal deadline.
Continuing Education Documentation: CE Broker
You need to submit your continuing education documentation through CE Broker, which offers a free basic plan that can be used by most people. You will NOT have to upload all certificates. It does ask for all Ethics certificates to be uploaded as well as randomly chosen CEs you submit.
To be prepared, have all your certificates downloaded as PDF files ready for upload if asked. Also, you will use information from your certificates to enter for each credit. Certificates will be uploaded under one of the required categories of Ethics, Core or Related.
For future renewals, you can document your continuing education in CE Broker at any time of the year; you do not have to wait until the renewal period for GOALS.

Don’t Wait!
It is strongly advised that you RENEW NOW and do not wait until the deadline. Logging in and completing the steps early is the best way to avoid additional delay & late fees.
Renewal notices are helpful reminders, but Georgia Board rules state that responsibility for license renewal remains with the license holder. For this board, licenses expire September 30 of even-numbered years, and late renewal may require an additional penalty fee.
The best approach is to renew early, confirm your renewal was processed, and save copies of your receipt, license, and CE records.
